For example, you can enjoy the sun with your dog on the dog beach on each of the five bathing areas of the 12 km white sandy beach of St. Peter-Ording. But think of a shelter from sun and of course, a water bowl. Because there is hardly any shade on the beach and your four-legged friend will thank you for it. But you can also rent there some beach chairs and beach shells. Because at the bathing areas stand always three stilt houses typical of St. Peter-Ording. One is a restaurant, the other one is a public toilet and the third stilt house is used by the DLRG (German Lifeguard Association) and right there you can rent beach stuff.
If you like to explore around St. Peter-Ording with your dog on holiday, then hire bicycles at our hotel and use the routes on the dunes. Your hairy companion can enjoy the trip on a leash beside you. And should he get tired, just ask for a dog trailer at the next bike rental on your way.

Should you be accustomed to unleash your dog while going for a walk so it can run into the woods and on the field, so I´m sorry but I need to disappoint you, because that is not possible in St. Peter-Ording. That is because the flora and fauna of the salt marshes, the dunes and the Wadden Sea is very particular and must be protected. Therefore, you should keep your dog on a leash. Of course, the dog is allowed to be a real dog, so let it sniff around and being curious, no problem.
And if you want to go to the centre of St. Peter-Ording, you will find water stations for your dog at the most restaurants and at the tourist information. While you enjoy your meal in the restaurant, your dog will be well provided for.
